Insecurity

Whether we think we do or not, everyone has some sort of insecurity.  Whether it is with your past, your present or even your future; or perhaps it is hidden beneath layers of your heart that you don’t even know it’s there. Perhaps you have been healed, restored and delivered of insecurity. Either way, insecurity is not easy to deal with. Many times in order to be free of this quality, healing, assurance, and love are needed. I know that my King does not desire for us to be insecure about ourselves, and our lives. He has so many promises and positive things that He says about us. Why is it so difficult to believe what He says?

If God is on our side, then why should we be afraid and unsure? Insecurity (along with many others), comes from the enemy trying to get you to believe that you’re not good enough, you can’t do it, you’re not qualified, who are you, etc. etc. When you come into agreement with those lies you are coming into agreement with the spirit of insecurity. If you come into agreement with insecurity, then other spirits deceitfully lurk in as well, such as fear, doubt and a lack of confidence. The enemy can be so good at deceiving us and making us feel like we are somebody we are not. I encourage you to do a daily check of yourself and speak out loud who Abba says you are. You are His treasure, beautiful child, sacred, pure, spotless bride. He delights over you with pleasure. He does not see your faults when you come to Him with a humble heart, seeking Him with everything in you. Your desires should be His desires. Let Him work in you, ridding every inch of insecurity, doubt, fear, etc. Let His healing hand cover over you. Accept the challenges of the daily walk with Him. He longs for you to be in one accordance with Him, and He wants you to feel safe, secure, and most of all loved for who you are in Him. Don’t be afraid to be yourself and be confident in who you are. You are special and set apart.

Ephesians 2:10- For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

John 15:7-8- If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.
