Let us pray

Prayer is powerful. There are so many benefits to prayer. The Bible says to never stop praying, pray without ceasing (1 Thess 5:17). Praying continually throughout the day, whether it be a quick, small prayer, or an hour prayer; it is important. It helps us keep a positive attitude, and it grows us closer to Him each and every day the more we pray. This is a prayer that I hope all of us will pray to our Heavenly Father with a humble heart, yearning to grow deeper and reach the purpose He has for us. Prayer can take us to levels in our life that we didn’t even know we could go to.

Yahweh, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, I come before You and first of all ask Your forgiveness of anything I may have done to displease You. Forgive me, Father, for my desire is to please You to the fullest and make You proud of me. I want to be Your servant, serving every day with a humble, self-less heart. I come before You with my imperfections and ask You to help me be okay with my weaknesses because through them You help me grow stronger. I want Your good and perfect will to be done in my life and I pray, God, that You will help me to see what I need to fix (with Your gracious help) in order to further Your Kingdom even more. Because we know, that we cannot “fix” ourselves on our own. Thank You, Father, for leading and guiding me to walk closer with You. Thank You for allowing me to take Your hand and trust You with wherever You lead me. Help me to be so close to You that I can feel Your heart beating. I pray, that when the enemy tries to shoot fiery darts at me, that I will be able to be strong and fight by using Your Holy Word as a sword to break through. I know that I cannot do it on my own, and I am so very thankful for Your Word that I can use as a weapon (Eph. 6:17) against the enemy. I know that You are for me, You are not against me (Psalm 118:6). Please help me not to complain about my current situations, how life is treating me. Let me praise Your name no matter what I may go through. Everything is to bring You glory, whether it turns out good or bad. Keep me accountable to You, Father. Help me to seek Your face, Your ways, Your love every day. Wrap Your arms around me, let me feel Your unfailing love. Clothe me in Your beautiful robe of righteousness, allow me to drink of the pure, glistening water. Help me to understand Your Word so that I may teach others. Thank you, God, for granting me life when I’ve least deserved it. I deserve death, but You choose to give me life. Hallelujah. You reign forever. You are Holy, You are sovereign. There is no God like you. May you be praised and lifted up all the days of my life. I love you.

Take time before you go to work, before bed, after lunch or during breaks to pray. Praying even while you’re at work, or while you’re at school. He hears every word. Words are powerful. This is something I will be discussing further in another post (the power of words).
