Piercing Light

Taking this picture, I did not realize the significance and meaning that I would later see. It looks like a simple picture of somewhat stormy clouds. In my imagination I see something much deeper than just some stormy clouds. I’m always fascinated with nature but I love to find the deeper spiritual meanings behind it all. What I see within these clouds is a dark, gloominess on the outside and a beautiful, bright presence deep within. This really hit me as somewhat of a revelation in more ways than one. Sometimes our lives can seem so stormy – dark and ugly – on the outside with what we can see.

In the physical realm, things are seen so “clear”, we seem to know exactly what we’re going through. But often we don’t even know what the Lord has in store for us. He’s always calling us deeper to be with Him. He wants and desires for us to be at a different level, a more higher level. Once we pass the tests, look past what we are able to see, and trust that God has something better, you will be drawn to a new place where you will see the light pierce its way through the dark, stormy clouds. Too often do we get too content with where we are at or just simply don’t do anything to take the clouds away. They follow you everywhere you go, pouring down the heavy rains (trials, trouble, distress) of life. If we are able to come to a place where we can look past the clouds and trust that sunshine (breakthrough, victory, joy) always follows after the storm, then God will surely shine His beautiful, radiant light down on you with a heart full of joy and pleasure for an obedient and faithful child. Let us search for the warmth of His love deep within. Sometimes it is in clear view, and other times it is hidden for us to search out. You are loved more than anyone else on this earth. Search for His love and presence through the storm. Don’t dwell on the storm and how it is affecting you. Look past the mistakes and problems. He is BIGGER than any problems you can ever face. God is always fighting a battle on your behalf. There is always a storm. But remember that sunshine comes after and His presence and promises will shine brighter in your life.

Isaiah 4:6 “There will be a shelter to give shade from the heat by day, and refuge and protection from the storm and rain.”

Proverbs 10:25 “When the whirlwind passes, the wicked is no more, but the righteous has an everlasting foundation.”
