I recently learned that moles love grub worms and they seek them more than any other food. I personally have a mole that just won't stay out of my garden. An old timer told me that all you have to do is get rid of the grub worms (thereby removing its food source) and it will move on. And because moles are like besetting sins that just don't seem to go away, I got to thinking about this week's Torah Portion and the "mole problem" that the Israelites had with the Midianites. So. WHAT IS FREEDOM...REALLY?

Are you free? Are you sure? People think that because they live in America or aren't in prison that they're "free." So let's talk about that. Sometimes we get hit so hard that we truly are not sure if we will recover. So let me borrow a line from Rocky Balboa that just might encourage you today.

No Pain, No Gain

No Pain, No Gain

NO PAIN NO GAIN

I have really been pressing in to the Lord and doing a lot more praying and fasting than normal over this past winter. Apparently a bit too much as I didn't realize that I've lost almost 15 pounds and am back to my high school weight. I felt like before I turned into a prune completely, perhaps now was the time I should start to put it back on the right way. And it just so happened that Mike, the guy I'm currently discipling, invited me to be part of their nightly workout group. I agreed.
