In Exodus 32:10, God tells Moses to leave Him alone so that He can wipe out the entire Israelite nation and give all the inheritance to Moses. Yahweh had had enough of the sin and complaining so His apparent plan was to make a new nation out of Moses. Who wouldn't take that deal? But Moses jumped in and gives God multiple reasons why He shouldn't annihilate everyone and God apparently changes His mind. Is it possible to change the mind of the Creator? Does God need anger management classes? What's really going on here?
Book of the Law vs. Book of the Covenant: Are they two separate books?
Those of you who have come into the Hebraic roots of your faith and have embraced the "front of the Book," as I like to call it, have come to appreciate and love the Torah and its incredible connections to both our Messiah and our lives today. Its rich principles powerfully transform the soul into the image of the Creator through the power of the Holy Spirit. Unfortunately, a fairly new doctrine threatens to undermine one of the foundations of our faith—the Law of God. This teaching is a doctrine founded upon a single theory: that there is a difference between the "Book of the Law" and the "Book of the Covenant." We will prove there is no difference at all and that the teaching is completely contrived by the authors of the doctrine. Proving no difference between the two, but that they are, in fact, used interchangeably and synonymously, demonstrates the falsehood of this teaching.
We've come to the final part in this series in the hope of putting life back into our lives and putting back the shattered pieces of the beautiful glass menagerie of our past. The only item left on our agenda is to deal with our own Personal Liabilities and then, from there, we can rewrite the formula to bring forth a net positive, freeing us to be all we can be through Christ.
The bible says right in the Ten Commandments that the sins of the father can visit the children to the third and fourth generation. God is very clear that there is a DNA transfer at birth of not just physical traits but in every other category, as well. These “generational curses” are very real and affect us every day. They are liabilities given at birth and can truly cripple a person at an early age if the debt from their forefathers is large enough. Some people never crawl out from underneath the damage their parents and grandparents have caused. Even though the power of Christ can set them free from the wages of that sin and give them eternal life, without knowing how to use the power of His blood, a believer can still find himself living a defeated life in addiction, depression, and anger. He came to give us life and life more abundantly here! Not just in heaven! He came to set us free of ALL our chains. The problem is we’re just not taught how to use the key He provided us to unlock the chains that bind us.
