Putting Life Back Into Life: Part 4
Written by Jim Staley

We've come to the final part in this series in the hope of putting life back into our lives and putting back the shattered pieces of the beautiful glass menagerie of our past. Putting Life Back Into Life: Part 3
Written by Jim Staley
Are you ready to put a little more life into your life and be healed of what's holding you back from being all you know you can be in Christ? Then let's get started.

At this point, you should have filled out the three parts of your history that I had you create from Part 2. You should have a list of generational liabilities, a list for all the personal traumas that have impacted you over the years, and you should have a list of all your major personal sins. In this part I'm going to help you learn what to do with all that information. Just like a doctor asks for your family history to develop a well-rounded understanding of who and what he is dealing with, it's helpful to understand your historical family timeline so that we can know just what we're facing.

GENERATIONAL LIABILITIES

The bible says right in the Ten Commandments that the sins of the father can visit the children to the third and fourth generation. God is very clear that there is a DNA transfer at birth of not just physical traits but in every other category, as well. These “generational curses” are very real and affect us every day. They are liabilities given at birth and can truly cripple a person at an early age if the debt from their forefathers is large enough. Some people never crawl out from underneath the damage their parents and grandparents have caused. Even though the power of Christ can set them free from the wages of that sin and give them eternal life, without knowing how to use the power of His blood, a believer can still find himself living a defeated life in addiction, depression, and anger. He came to give us life and life more abundantly here! Not just in heaven! He came to set us free of ALL our chains. The problem is we’re just not taught how to use the key He provided us to unlock the chains that bind us.

The Destruction of Presumption

The Destruction of Presumption
Written by Jim Staley
In Hebrew, the definition of "presume" is to move or make decisions arrogantly. Webster's Dictionary says it means "to act or behave with undue boldness." In other words, when we act before knowing ALL the facts from EVERY side, we are acting presumptuously and arrogantly. Many times, it's impossible to know the full story if we cannot talk directly to the person we are making a presumption about. This is why we are to never judge a person or situation unless we are in a position of authority to do so. If we do, we will be judged in the exact same way in which we chose to judge.

Putting LIFE Back into Life: Part 1

“If all is well, why am I like this?”

Have you ever thought that thought or said those words about yourself or your situation? I certainly have. After all, if you are a child of God and the Holy Spirit is supposed to be living inside you, then why do you feel so frustrated, angry, depressed, anxious, or *insert your own emotion here* all the time? If God is your Father, then why does it seem like He’s allowing you to go through the fires of hell every day? Have you ever had that thought? Rebekah did. In Genesis chapter 25 she felt like the twin sons inside her – Jacob and Esau – were at war, a war that was going to tear her apart.
